The secure server software SSL (Secure Socket Layers) encrypts all information you enter before it is sent to us. The information is only de-encrypted when it reaches our server. We also have a Firewall (security software) in place to protect our internal information from the Internet.

Terms and conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before using our services.

Any and all business or contracts entered into or advice, information or services provided by Mauritius Vacations, in connection with the services, whether free of charge or not, is performed and provided in accordance with these standard contract terms and conditions.

  • Mauritius Vacations will confirm your reservation by email and/or text message (according to the data provided by the client).
  • You may not transfer and/or sell any of the services booked through this website to any third party unless the prior written consent of Mauritius Vacations is obtained.
  • We accept Visa and Mastercard payment which may vary to become effective in our system. This process can take up to 24 hours.
  • The client must take all necessary vaccinations (malaria, yellow fever and other potential diseases) and precautions necessary to travel to Africa. Mauritius Vacations does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any client being refused entry to any country due to incorrect or incomplete health documentation or vaccinations.
  • In the same way, we highlight the responsibility of the client for the updating and carrying of all the documents required to transit within the African territory, be it visas, passports, or vaccination cards.
  • The Client consents to the risks inherent in wildlife adventure travel and warrants that he is aware of such risks and undertakes the tours, safaris, wildlife and other excursions in connection with the services with full knowledge and appreciation thereof and at his own risk.
  • Every child under 12 years of age must be permanently accompanied by a responsible adult; likewise, you must refrain from attending activities that are classified as 12+.
  • Keep in mind that according to African legislation, prices and taxes may increase momentarily; which you will be notified immediately, since you must assume said increases (if applicable).
  • Any change to the contract (with the confirmation of the parties involved), will be left in writing, and only then will it have legal validity.
  • These standard terms and conditions and all agreements between Mauritius Vacations and the client made under them, and in the terms of them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to the place in which agreements are entered into.

 

Delivery policy

Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 1 day and delivery confirmed by way of email (for e.g. booking confirmation number).

 

Refund and cancellation policy

At Mauritius Vacations we understand that there are multiple situations that do not allow us to continue with the plans we had in mind, for this reason (and for you to take it into account), we present our cancellation and refund policy.

  • If you must cancel your trip or reservation, this must be presented in writing and sent to our email support@mauritius-vacations.com; attaching all the information regarding the holder of the trip or reservation.

Please Note: WE DO NOT ACCEPT CANCELLATIONS MADE BY TELEPHONE OR ANY OTHER CHANNELS OTHER THAN MENTIONED ABOVE (support@mauritius-vacations.com).

  • The cancellation charges will be calculated from the day the receipt and approval of said document is notified.
  • Any applicable refund will be returned in the same way in which the payment was made, and this has a period of 30 days for its return.

About the cancellation policy:

  • Reservations will be made effective with the advance payment of 50% of the total value of the plan purchased.
  • Balance due in full 45 days prior to arrival. Full payment is required if less than 45 days.
  • More than 120 days before the reservation, the deposit is returned less bank charges
  • 120 days to 45 days -20% deposit lost
  • 44 days to 31 days – 50% lost
  • Less than 30 days (and no presentation) – 100% lost
  • If you do not show up, if you cancel your plan/accommodation/trip or safari after the departure date, or if you leave a trip already in progress, you will not receive any refund for the unused portion of your trip.

There is no right to return for unused services.

Like mentioned before, changes to the liability clause can only be made in writing and signed by an officer of Mauritius Vacations shown including US$500 administrative fee.

  • All cancellations made after twelve days of booking are subject to a non-refundable fee of US$500 per person.
  • Cancellations made within 12 days of booking will be subject to the same fee, unless the reason for cancellation given at the time of cancellation is your rejection of these Terms and Conditions. This $500 fee reflects only Mauritius Vacations costs to manage a reservation.

Reservation changes

  • If you make changes to your reservation that affect the departure city or make changes to your departure date or destination, it will be treated as a cancellation and applicable cancellation charges will apply. Traveler substitutions are considered reservation cancellations and are subject to the above cancellation charges.
  • You will be responsible for confirming your international flight back to the your home country and for your own transfers to the airport.
